Keeping up with the latest in printer technologies
We have completely revamped our aqueous digital range in response to the success of new devices such as the HP Z6100, Canon Image PROGRAF and the Epson Stylus Pro range of printers. Our emphasis has been on introducing more universal products that are designed for these latest printers but will also work well on the older HP 5500 and 5000 printers.
We have also been working hard on creating high speed colour profiles for these new fast printers to allow you to increase your productivity and reduce lead times. Our in-house application centre is dedicated to helping get the next generation of digital products to market. In addition to HP and Epson wide format printers, and a Seal laminator, we also have the very latest colour profiling equipment and RIPs to ensure you get the consistency of print you demand and deserve.
NEW to our Roll-up and Pop-up Media ranges
One of the most important new products is USOP7. This is a 170µ grey backed opaque polypropylene film for roll-ups. For short-term promotional work it does not need lamination. The instant dry coating allows it to be printed on the HP Z6100 printer with our high-speed profile at 13M2 per hour and still look stunning. If you need to laminate we also offer a matched polypropylene textured laminate called TP5-20. Polypropylene is an environmentally responsible alternative solution for banner stands. USOP7 roll up has the resin identification code 5 so is easier to place in the recycling chain. Another environmental bonus is that it only weighs 130 grammes per M2, 25% to 50% of the weight of alternatives so it consumes fewer resources in the manufacturing stage.
If you are really battling for low cost promotional work we now also offer UNW8 which is a 200gsm/400µ non woven fabric for roll-up displays that costs under £5 per drop.
We revamped our polyester roll-up and pop-up products in 2008 to ensure compatibility with these new printers:
- USFP7 is our 185µ satin white opaque universal polyester with a grey light-stop for roll-up displays
- USFP13 is our matched 330µ satin white opaque universal polyester with a grey light-stop for pop-up displays
Both these products are unique to us in the UK and we have achieved print speeds of up to 13M2 per hour without sacrificing quality. We offer various laminates in our Print Finishing Film section to provide both protection and stiffness.
NEW to Self-Adhesives
We have been asked repeatedly for a lower cost version of PhotoTex self-adhesive fabric and can finally satisfy that request with UPT11 FotoTex which is a universal matt self-adhesive fabric. FotoTex is a matt finished cloth with a removable adhesive on a paper release liner that can be printed on all inkjet printers. It can be crumpled up and then smoothed out without wrinkles and is perfect for end users to apply themselves. The adhesive system is both removable and replaceable, enabling the graphic to be moved around several times with no adhesive transfer problems. It is now a brighter white and all this has been achieved together with a 50% price reduction.
